This Privacy Policy describes how AgLynks collects, uses, and shares information when you use the AgLynks web application (the "Service"). By using AgLynks you agree to the practices described here.
Information AgLynks collects
AgLynks collects information you provide directly, information generated as you use the Service, and limited technical information from your device or browser.
Account and profile information
- Name, email address, and password (stored securely by our authentication provider).
- Role (worker, employer, or contractor) and related profile details you choose to provide, such as business name, location, skills, tasks, availability, and experience.
- Content you post through the Service, including job listings, applications, invitations, messages, and ratings.
Phone numbers and phone verification
If you choose to add a phone number to your account, AgLynks stores that number and may send a one-time verification code by SMS so you can confirm the number belongs to you. AgLynks records whether your phone has been verified and when verification occurred.
SMS notifications and consent
If you choose to use SMS notifications, AgLynks collects and stores your phone number, verification status, SMS consent status, and related notification preferences. AgLynks uses Twilio to help deliver verification codes and text messages. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP where supported or by changing your notification settings.
Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent information will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
How AgLynks uses information
- To provide and maintain the Service, including account creation, sign-in, and profile management.
- To connect employers and workers through job posts, applications, invitations, and messaging.
- To send transactional notifications by in-app message, email, and (when enabled) SMS.
- To improve the Service, monitor reliability, and prevent abuse.
Service providers
AgLynks relies on trusted service providers to operate the Service. These currently include:
- Supabase — database, authentication, storage, and server functions.
- Resend — delivery of transactional email.
- Twilio — phone number verification and delivery of transactional SMS messages.
- Stripe — payment processing when payments are used.
These providers only receive the information they need to perform their service and are bound by their own privacy and security terms.
Notification preferences and opt-out
You can control which notifications you receive from your account settings:
- Turn in-app, email, or SMS notifications on or off by category.
- Withdraw SMS consent at any time by unchecking the SMS consent option in your profile.
- For SMS messages that support it, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
- Unsubscribe from marketing-style email using the link included in those emails, where applicable.
Data security
AgLynks uses industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security in the database, and restricted access to sensitive fields. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
Data retention
AgLynks retains account and profile information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support.
Children
AgLynks is not directed to children under 16 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
AgLynks may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
